Airfix and the box art of Roy Cross brought me here and its been a few decades since then. Somewhere along the way I caught a digital bug and a fancy for 3D which was around the time that long overnight renders were producing the ubiquitous chrome kettle in the tiled kitchen scene on Amiga's.
My aim was to one day make 3D model aircraft and various other stuff from my childhood. The only problem was that by the time life was slowing down enough to get into learning a 3D application properly , much of what I wanted to make had been produced by many talented 3D modellers. However, Dieselpunk and the love of the odd discredited scientific study into anti gravity got me building my own designs plus a few of those childhood favourites thrown in for good measure. Sometimes I like to build an actual aircraft type or other although it is usually a rare or paper design only.
I have been pushing pixels for web and print for some time but now I mainly concentrate on my own ideas and projects which largely revolve around an alternative history story that won't leave my imagination alone. I am happiest in 2D and use 3D to produce assets for use in compositing/photobashing my final image and I have a whole lot of fun at the same time.
